We invite overseas Korean teens and college and graduate students to the 2026 OKFriends Homecoming Teens & Youth Camp where you can raise your identity and pride as Koreans. Don’t miss your chance to learn the development of Korea and experience diverse cultural programs.

 * Each person can participate in one session only.
 * Participants are required to provide their preferred session (1st and 2nd choice). Note that you may be assigned to a nonpreferred session depending on the circumstances.
 * Domestic participants will be selected separately.
 
2. Application
 
 A. Application Period
  ○ From the date of announcement until Apr. 20, 2026 (Mon)
          * Application deadline: 11:59 PM, Mon, Apr. 20, 2026(KST)
 
 B. Eligibility & Preferred Applicants
  ○ Qualifications
    - Age Requirements

    · Teens Camp (1st to 6th Session):Overseas Korean teenagers aged 15 to 18 (as of Jun. 22, 2026)
    · Youth Camp (1st to 3rd Session):Overseas Korean young adults aged 18 to 25 (as of Jul. 14, 2026) 
       * Those aged 18 may apply for either the Teens Camp or Youth Camp (but not both).
    - Residency Requirement: Overseas Korean who have legally resided abroad for five years or more
    · Overseas Koreans with foreign nationality, permanent residency, Korean nationals, adoptees, children of adoptees, and children from multicultural families
    · Must be in good physical and mental health, and able to fully participate in the program
 
  ○ Preferred Applicants
    - Applicants with outstanding personal statements (background, migration history, motivation, etc.)
    - Descendants of persons of distinguished services to independence or the State
    - Overseas adoptees and children of adoptees 
 
 C. Application Method & Required Documents
  ○ Application Method: Applicants should visit www.korean.net, create an account, and submit an application.
      * Applications must submit using their own account (Using parent’s or guardian’s account is not allowed).
 
  ○ Required Documents
   - (Fill out the online application form in Korean or English) 
     ① (Required) Application form and Personal data provision and use consent form
     ② (Required) Self-introductory letter (Korean or English)
     ③ Copies of documents that prove status as an overseas Korean national or an overseas Korean of foreign nationality
       ○ Korean nationals: copy of the Overseas Korean Registration Certificate
       ○ Overseas Koreans with foreign nationality: Certified Copy of Archived Family Registry, Basic Certificate, Certificate of Family Relations, or other documents that can prove Korean ancestry or overseas Korean status.
       * Where possible, please submit relevant documents. The information will be used as reference data to understand the current status of overseas Koreans and to develop related policies.
Information of Registration as an Overseas Korean
 ‣ The Korean government strongly encourages overseas Koreans to register in order to protect the safety and rights of Korean nationals residing abroad in a systematic manner. Through this registration, authorities can accurately identify local residence status, provide various administrative and consular services, and deliver timely, effective support in emergency situations such as disasters or conflicts.

 ‣ www.g4k.go.kr: 365 Civil Service Portal for Overseas Koreans (online application for registration as overseas Korean national, reports of changes or relocation, and related services)
  Offline application
 ‣ You can also apply for overseas Korean registration in person at a local Korean embassy or consulate general.

  ○ Notes
   - The application must be submitted online via www.korean.net using the applicant’s own account. (Other submission methods will not be accepted. Parents, teachers, or others cannot apply on behalf of the participant.)
   - All documents should be uploaded and completed via www.korean.net within the deadline.
